Bury Playgroup aims to provide care and education within the community to help children to grow and develop into unique individuals. Your child will be encouraged to investigate and develop through tailored and exciting activities, which will support them when they begin school. We want every child to thrive at Bury Playgroup. This is achieved by working to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Activities are planned according to your child’s stage and development. The environment that we offer builds on previous learning and takes into account children’s current interests. We believe children learn through play, by offering a balance of child led and adult initiated activities and a wide range of resources we support children in their play. Children are encouraged to value themselves and others and are supported as they begin to form friendships.

Our experienced staff include; Manager:- Kathryn is an Early Years Teacher with a level 6 BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies. Deputy Manager:- Debbie holds a level 5 in Childcare and Leadership Early Years Educators; Heather holds a level 3 in Childcare and Education. Lisa Schiavo a level 3 in Childcare and Education.

Every child is assigned a key person with whom both yourselves and your child can build a special and important relationship. Your key person will work with you to plan for, care for and provide feedback about your child’s development. We pride ourselves in having excellent parent partnerships, working alongside you for the best possible learning outcomes for your child. Throughout their time at playgroup your child’s progress will be tracked across the areas of learning. This will be monitored to ensure they are making good progress which will be regularly shared with you. We welcome and encourage parental involvement through our committee, daily helpers and social events
